Defining Location for Prompts
Use
You use this procedure to define the location for:
-
built-in prompts
They are included in the Sinch Contact Pro package.
-
Custom prompts
They are the ones you create and add to your system yourself.
We recommend using a network location whenever possible. This ensures that Agent Servers (AS), and Media Routing Server (MRS) are able to access the files at all times.
Prerequisites
You need rights to modify prompt service.
If you've defined a location-specific path in Infrastructure Administrator (IA) for AS and MRS:
-
Make sure the files are replicated to the network location as well.
-
Don't define a location for custom prompts.
For more information about playing prompts from different locations, see the Installation Guide.
Procedure
Define the locations.
-
Built-in prompts location:
Enter a path to define where the built-in prompts are saved. The paths are used for all prompts in the system, unless you define a location-specific path in AS and MRS variables in IA.
In a clean installation, the path is \\xxx\Prompts\ so you must define the correct path. We recommend using UNC paths.
-
Custom prompts location:
After an upgrade, leave this field empty.
In new installations, you can enter a path to define where your custom prompts are saved. If you don't define the location, custom prompts are stored in the same location as built-in prompts.
If you change either of the locations after you've defined and saved them, you must restart AS, Call Discpatcher (CD), and MRS.
