Cloud Attachments

You can share files to the customer either by sending them in the chat or email conversation or by using the Cloud Attachments extension. The extension allows you to upload the file to cloud storage and send a link to the customer for accessing the file. This makes sharing large files quicker.

Note: Cloud Attachments files linked to in an email message are not considered email attachments. For emails, you can use either the Attachments or Cloud Attachment extension.

To share a file with the customer through Cloud Attachments:

  1. Click the Cloud Attachments icon in the side panel. The extension opens.

  2. To upload a file, click the plus button and select the file. The application lets you know when the file has been uploaded.

  3. To share a link to the file with the customer, click Copy to Clipboard and paste the link to the conversation.

The link expires in 180 days.

The maximum file size is 100 MB. Supported mime types are:

  • text/plain
  • image/jpeg
  • image/png
  • application/pdf

Administrators can define if this extension is in use in System Configurator.
