Objectives
The objectives of the DRP are the following:
- Assure prompt and appropriate response to a disaster, thereby mitigating the impacts to business.
- Provide an organized and consolidated approach to managing recovery activities following an event, avoiding confusion, and reducing exposure to error.
- Recover essential operations in a timely manner, increasing the ability of Sinch Contact Pro business to recover from a damaging loss.
This DRP is based on the following principles:
- Recovery Time Objective (RTO) for Sinch Contact Pro is 4 hours and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is 24 hours.
- Recovery Site has been identified for each region, in a separate availability zone.
- The identified Recovery Site is unaffected by the event.
- Current backups of the application software, operating systems, and data are intact and available.
- Key staff identified have been trained in their emergency response and recovery roles.
- Recovery is executed in accordance with the procedures that have been set forth within this plan.
- Recovery operations will gradually restore services to the identified Recovery Site.
- Document review, maintenance, and updates are performed on a regular basis to ensure a viable state of readiness.
