Data retention

By default, Sinch stores customer data for the entire contract term. Customer data includes conversation data (conversation metadata, call recordings, email and chat contents) and reporting data.

It is possible to set retention times separately for all conversation channels and for handled or expired outbound campaigns. Retention time can be set either on system or on queue level. When set retention time expires, contacts are anonymized or deleted.

To request changes to the retention times, create a service request.
